Workshops wound up for the year!

Workshops have wound up for the year and I am now back to the wheel and the loom. The loom is warped and I have just started two new scarves. The warp is a 40/2 linen in a light lichen green and darker brown. The weft is comprised of varioius shades of red silks and silk blends.

As for the wheel? Hmmm, well, I am in the throes of putting it together, actually. This is a new wheel that I am currently treating to several coats of tung oil. I am hoping to get the the wheel up and runnning by the end of this month so I can dig into some serious spinning. I have the fibre, now I just need the wheel.

I have not forgotten my promise to post about how I used to dress my distaff with wool and how I dress the distaff now. I am home for a while and will get that out shortly.

I have also updated the Workshops page if you care to take a sneak peek at what I will be up to in 2026.

Cheers!

Some bits and pieces of the Kromski Polonaise waiting for another drink of tung oil.
